About Goodnation Action

Goodnation employs a structure termed a contract hybrid, consisting of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit called the Goodnation Foundation, a social enterprise called Goodnation Philanthropy Advisors, and a 501(c)(4) called Goodnation Action.

The three entities maintain independent boards of directors and agree to collaborate on a shared mission of attracting resources to tackle our country's and communities’ toughest challenges.

Goodnation Foundation directs all c3 donations in accordance with its mission, while Goodnation Action does the same for c4 donations.

Goodnation Philanthropy Advisors builds, staffs and supports the work in order to meet the needs of the Goodnation Foundation and Goodnation Action programs.

    Brandon Holley is a publishing veteran and brand advisor. She started her career at Condé Nast and rose to Editor-in-Chief of Lucky, a national women’s magazine. She serves as President of the Board of Directors at the Red Hook Initiative, a community based nonprofit impacting the lives of over 6,500 residents of Red Hook. She is also a longtime advisor to startups in ecommerce, SaaS and digital publishing platforms. She lives in Brooklyn.

    DIGNITY FUND

    Tom is a co-founder and former Managing Partner of RTGR Law, where he provides legal counsel to public agencies and nonprofits on labor and employment issues. He studied leadership and governance at Harvard University and has served as a board member and chair of various organizations in the legal, educational, and nonprofit fields. He is also the Managing Director of Dignity Fund, supporting initiatives to strengthen democracy and equal access to justice in the United States.
